Version: 1.00 Description These release notes discuss issues and their potential workarounds, as well as special information regarding HP Intelligent Provisioning. HP Intelligent Provisioning is a feature of the HP iLO Management Engine and offers the ability for out-of-the-box single-server deployment and configuration without the need for media. Intelligent Provisioning provides enhanced server configuration and provisioning assistance, following SmartStart version 8.70.
Installation notes ESXi: The default password for ESXi is password. Windows SBS 2011: If you see the message The Username or Password is incorrect, click OK and enter the same Password entered with the OS Product Information. Known issues and suggested actions HP strongly recommends that the resolutions listed in this document be applied accordingly to instructions in the resolution documents.
• When using Intelligent Provisioning in a non-English language, the Review and OS Info pages may be displayed in English rather than in the selected language, even after changing the language in the OS Product Information page. • When doing a recommended or custom installation of Windows Datacenter Core editions the system reboots after successfully copying Intelligent Provisioning and operating system files. After Windows comes up, the Administrator account is not available.
• No online help is available for the Step 2: Activation page. The missing information is: Use this page to activate or disable Intelligent Provisioning. If you activate Intelligent Provisioning, you can access it during server POST with F10 to set up and maintain your HP ProLiant Gen8 server. If you disable Intelligent Provisioning, the F10 key will no longer activate Intelligent Provisioning when the server reboots.
