System Management
■ The Server Fault Tolerance feature provides many disk subsystem and
memory system error-correction fault-tolerance options.
■ The Rapid Recovery Service provides fast identification and resolution
of complex faults. Highlights of this integrated server management
feature include: Integrated Management Logs, ASR-2, and Compaq
Integrated Remote Console.
■ The Integrated Management Log (IML) provides a detailed log of key
system events. This log is accessible through Compaq Insight Manager,
NetWare, or the Microsoft NT IML Viewer program.
ROM
■ Software upgradable firmware including diagnostics
■ ROMPaq Utility used to upgrade ROM
Fans
The Compaq ProLiant ML530 server supports redundant hot-plug system fans.
If a primary fan fails, it generates a system alert and triggers a secondary (or
redundant) fan to take over automatically. The redundant hot-plug fans protect
the various server components from overheating and possible system
interruption.
