HP Intelligent Provisioning 1.40 Release Notes

If you attempt to deploy an OS on a server with no installed drives, the server reboots, and, after
POST, a page is displayed indicating that the settings are being applied. However, the deployment
does not proceed and returns to the Home page without displaying any errors.
Suggested action: Install drives and redeploy the OS.
If hard drives are not installed or if the arrays are not configured, OS installation through
Deployment Settings does not complete.
Suggested action: Be sure hard drives and arrays are configured before installing an OS
Deployment Settings.
When using a network share or FTP site to store the OS source files, when you click Rescan on
the Locate Operating System installation files page, the displayed folders are inaccurate.
Suggested action: Click on the previous arrow and restart the OS installation process.
When performing a Manual installation method, the installation does not complete and LUNs are
not configured.
Suggested action: When executing Manual installations, some drivers might not be included in
the VID. Either manually install all required drivers before using Intelligent Provisioning to deploy
the OS to the server, or use the Recommended or Customized installation method.
A Linux Manual installation might stall if Update before OS install is selected in the Hardware
Settings page, and the OS is being installed using an iLO image.
Suggested action: Use a physical OS DVD for the installation.
For Windows and VMware Manual installations, firmware is not updated, even if Update before
OS install is checked in the Hardware Settings page.
Suggested action: Go to the Firmware Update option in the Perform Maintenance window and
manually update system firmware.
When using the Firmware Update utility, the system prompts to update a 32–bit component, but
only 64–bit components are supported.
Suggested action: Disregard the 32 bit component listing.
