Component installation
Installing a node into the chassis
Install the component as indicated.
Installing a drive
To install the component:
IMPORTANT: Labels are provided so that you can label the drives before installing them. If drives
are removed, they must be returned to their original locations.
1. Prepare the drive.
IMPORTANT: The 3-node chassis supports up to 15 drives per backplane. Always populate
drive bays from the rear to the front starting with the highest device bay ID number. All
unpopulated drive bays require drive blanks to properly distribute air flow and cool the installed
drives.
