Step 2. Determine Installation
Type – Customer Installation vs.
HP Service Installation
This hardware kit can be usedin two different
hardware configurations. Customer installation is
acceptable when installing the Mezzanine
Assembly into a WS460c Blade assembly. For
that configuration, follow these instructions.
If this Mezzanine Assembly is to be installed into
an HP Multi-GPU PCIe graphics board, found in
the HP Proliant Graphics Expansion Blade, it
must be installed by an HP Customer Engineer
using these installation instructions. Customer
Installation may void the warranty.
Step 3. WS460c Multi GPU
Module Removal
• Remove the Multi-GPU Module from the HP
ProLiant Graphics Expansion Blade.
• Identify the MXM Module to be replaced.
Remove the two flat head screws which hold
the MXM Module to the Multi-GPU PCA
sheetmetal tray. Set aside these two screws
for later.
• Remove the plastic top cover from the Multi-
GPU Module.
• Remove screw.
• Pull the MXM board with heatsink attached out
of MXM connector on Mezzanine Adapter
Board. Lift up & pull away from connector.
