2. Remove the front panel.
3. Disconnect the left battery module.

WARNING: To prevent personal injury, prepare the area
and observe all materials-handling procedures for
removing the battery module, which weighs
34 kg (75 lb).
4. Disconnect the right battery module.
5. Repeat steps 1 through 4 for other ERMs connected to
the UPS.
Installing the Backplate
Receptacle Option
1. Remove the UPS terminal block cover.
2. Disconnect the input and output wiring.
3. Remove the UPS and ERM wiring port covers.
4. If there is not an ERM installed, install the ERM wiring port
cover and start the screws.
WARNING: There is a risk of personal injury if the ERM wiring
port cover is not installed.
5. If there is an ERM installed, start the screws.
6. Install the backplate receptacle option.
Wiring to the Terminal Block
1. Connect the backplate receptacle option wires.
2. Connect the input wires.

IMPORTANT: Be sure that no loose strands remain and that the terminal
connection screws are tightened to torque specifications found on the
diagram below the terminal block.
3. Replace the UPS terminal block cover.
