HP StorageWorks SAN Virtualization Services Platform 3.0.2 Release Notes (5697-0347, May 2010)

HP Command View SVSP issues
Domains are not listed in Process Manager
After installing Command View SVSP, there is an option to open the Process Manager so that an
SVSP domain can be selected for management. There is an intermittent issue where sometimes no
SVSP domain is listed. A workaround is to close the Process Manager GUI and reopen it.
VSM webserver does not support https
Command View SVSP does not work when the VSM webserver is configured to use https.
Non-functional tab and keyboard navigation
HP Command View SVSP does not support keyboard navigation or use of the tab key to navigate
between text fields in wizards. Although some screens may present this functionality, it is not consistent
and not officially supported.
There is no list that displays all snapshots
There is no list that displays all the snapshots or all of the VDG snapshots in the system. The snapshots
are visible by selecting a virtual disk, and then going to the PiTs & Snaps > Snapshots tab. In the same
way, VDG snapshots can be seen, and the VDG snapshots are shown in the navigation tree as child
nodes of VDGs.
Host HBAs are not listed when creating hosts after a clean install
Although the SVSP appliance creates one host in the back-end for each HBA, these hosts cannot be
used for presentation, so they will not show up in HP Command View SVSP. The Hosts page will only
list hosts created by the user, so on a clean installation the user will not initially see any hosts listed
until a new one is created.
All user-created folders are not being shown
On upgrade scenarios, HP Command View SVSP will not show previously created folder structures.
Although all objects are shown in the GUI, the pre-existing folder structure will have to be created.
Additionally, Command View SVSP does not support folders with mixed objects (for example, virtual
disks and storage pools in the same folder). Folders are created inside each root node (virtual disks,
storage pools, and so on) and can contain only objects of that type.
Permission templates created in VSM GUI are not visible in HP Command View SVSP
HP Command View SVSP does not provide support for permission templates.
Snapclone tab for destination VDG does not show any tasks
After creating a VDG snapclone and navigating to the Replication -> Snapclone tab of the destination
VDG, the snapclones are not displayed. These can be seen either in the Replication -> Snapclone tab
of the source VDG or in the main snapclone list under Data Replication -> Snapclone tasks.
