Disaster Tolerant Checklist
Use this checklist to make sure you have adhered to the disaster tolerant
architecture guidelines for a two main data center and third location
configuration.

All redundant cabling for network, heartbeat, and SRDF connections should be
The elements in each data center including nodes, disks, network components,
and climate control should be on separate power circuits.
Each data center must have the same number of nodes to maintain a proper
quorum in case an entire data center fails.
Each node must be configured with PV links.
routed using different physical paths.
Each EMC Symmetrix disk array must be configured with redundant SRDF links.
Arbitrator nodes should be located in a separate location from either of the
primary data centers (A or B).
At least two networks must function as the cluster heartbeat.
