October 2009 Patches
See “New Features for October 2009 Patches” (page 14) for information about new
features introduced in the following patches:
• SGLX_00270 for Serviceguard A.11.19.01 on Red Hat
• SGLX_00273 for Serviceguard A.11.19.01 on SUSE
IMPORTANT: A.11.19.01 is a prerequisite for the October 2009 patches, and hence for
the new Serviceguard Manager features. This means that you must apply the appropriate
July patch (seeJuly 2009 Patches (page 9)) before applying an October patch.
Product Structure
Serviceguard for Linux A.11.19 is available under the following product numbers:
• T8720AA — A.11.19 — license for HP Integrity Servers
— Variable count license for HP Integrity servers:
◦ one license required per processor
◦ license certificate has license count equal to number of licenses ordered
— Installation and support services available through product options
• T8721AA — A.11.19 — license for HP ProLiant Servers
— Variable count license for HP ProLiant servers
— Installation and support services available through product options
◦ one license required per host node
If Serviceguard for Linux is running in virtual machines, only one license
is required, irrespective of the number of virtual machines running on the
host that has the license
◦ license certificate has license count equal to number of licenses ordered
— one year of 24x7 support services included
◦ registration is required to activate support services
upgraded support services are available
• T8719AA — A.11.19 — Media-only for HP ProLiant servers and HP Integrity
servers
— Media-only allows activation of the product for a 90–day trial
— licenses (T8720AA or T8721AA) are required beyond the trial period
