NOTE:
◦ IPv6 subnets for CSS-HB and RAC Interconnect are not supported in Oracle RAC 11gR2
or earlier.
◦ From Veritas Storage Foundation 5.1 SP1, LLT can be configured to use UDP for cross
subnet configurations. Serviceguard also supports cross subnet configurations. However,
the SG SMS integration scripts are not enhanced to configure LLT over UDP. Hence, SG
SMS A.04.00 clusters will not support cross subnet configurations at the initial release.

What’s New with Veritas Storage Foundation 5.1 SP1
Veritas Storage Foundation™ 5.1 SP1 includes the Veritas™ File System (VxFS) and the Veritas™
Volume Manager (VxVM). New features and enhancements for VxFS and VxVM that are supported
in the SG SMS version A.04.00 bundles are as follows:
What’s New with Veritas File System (VxFS)
The following VxFS features and enhancements are supported in the SG SMS version A.04.00
bundles:
• Autolog replay on mount — The mount command automatically runs the VxFS fsck command
to clean up the intent log if the mount command detects a dirty log in the file system.
• Dynamic Storage Tiering is rebranded as SmartTier — In this release, the Dynamic Storage
Tiering (DST) feature is rebranded as SmartTier.
• FileSnap — FileSnaps provide the ability to snapshot objects that are smaller in granularity
than a file system or a volume.
