Installing and running the HP Support Software CD 6
A blue screen appears with the following message:
S=Specify Additional Device
ENTER=Continue
F3=Exit
3. Press the S key. If a menu appears, use the arrow keys to scroll to Other and press the Enter key.
IMPORTANT: Do not remove the diskette from the drive until instructed to do so.
4. When prompted to insert the manufacturer-supplied diskette, insert the Windows driver diskette and
press the Enter key.
NOTE: For instructions on creating a driver diskette, see "Creating driver diskettes (on page
15)."
5. Select the appropriate <Product for Windows> and press the Enter key. The screen for specifying
additional drivers appears. If you do not have any additional drivers to install, press the Enter key.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
7. Reboot the server.
NOTE: The following steps install the Event Notification Service.
8. Insert the Support Software CD into the CD-ROM drive.
o If Autorun is disabled, go to step 9 and continue through step 14.
o If Autorun is enabled, go to step 12 and continue through step 14.
9. Click Start and then click Run.
10. In the Open field, enter:
<CD-ROM drive letter>:\Setup.exe
11. Click OK.
12. Click Agree.
13. Click Install Windows Event Notification Service and follow the on-screen instructions.
14. Click Install. Results of the installation are logged to the following location:
<boot drive letter>:\cqpsystem\log\cpqsetup.log file
NetWare operating systems
IMPORTANT: This Support Software CD contains the minimum software revision levels
necessary for initial setup and configuration. Additional deliverables and future updates that
support the product and the server into which it is installed can be found on the SmartStart and
Support CD.
HP ProLiant Support Packs (PSPs), server integration tools, and diagnostic utilities are examples
of additional deliverables available on the SmartStart and Support CD that you will need to
fully configure the system. See the documentation included with the SmartStart and Support CD
for detailed usage instructions.
