2 New and changed features in this release
2.1 New features
The following features are new with this version of RAID-01:
Support for HP Smart Array AM311A and AM312A controllers.
The RAID-01 bundle now supports the HP Smart Array AM311A and AM312A controllers
on servers running HP-UX 11i v3. For more information on these products, see the following

Support for firmware downloading to additional devices.
The RAID-01 bundle now supports downloading firmware updates to the following devices:
— HP StorageWorks D2600 and D2700 Series enclosures connected to an HP AM311A or
AM312A controller.
— Embedded SAS Expander in AM312A controller.
— SATA hard disks in an HP StorageWorks D2600 and D2700 Series enclosures connected
to an HP AM311A or AM312A controller, when SATA support is added in a future
firmware update.
WARNING! HP AM311A and AM312A controllers do not support SATA disks in
their initial release with adapter firmware version 3.30.

Support for Host Bus Adapter (HBA) mode on HP AM311A controllers.
The RAID-01 bundle now supports HBA mode with the HP AM311A Smart Array P411
controller. In HBA mode, physical disks are directly exposed to the operating system as SAS
disks; the RAID features of the Smart Array controller are not used in this mode.
