The activate operation remains in the transaction buffer until you issue ad --apply
or ad --save.
--add ad_id -d "dev_list"-s "switch_list"
Adds new members to an existing Admin Domain. The add operation remains in
the transaction buffer until you issue ad --apply or ad --save.
--apply Saves the current transaction buffer contents to the defined configuration and
enforces the defined configuration on all switches in the fabric. ad --apply
prompts for confirmation.
--clear Deletes all ADs and clears AD0’s explicit members. This command fails if AD1
through AD254’s zone databases are not empty. ad --clear prompts for
confirmation before deleting all Admin Domains. The clear operation remains in
the transaction buffer until you issue ad --apply or ad --save.
--create ad_id -d "dev_list"-s "switch_list"
Creates a new administrative domain with the specified device and switch list.
Newly created Admin Domains are in an activated state. On initial creation, the
ADs contain no zone database. The newly created Admin Domain remains in the
transaction buffer until it is enforced by issuing ad --apply or ad --save. AD0
always exists. Use ad --add to add explicit members to AD0.
--deactivate ad_id Deactivates an Admin Domain. This operation fails if an effective zone
configuration exists under the Admin Domain. This operation is not allowed on
AD0. ad --deactivate does not result in any port disables. All existing user
sessions to a deactivated Admin Domain are not terminated; however, subsequent
CLI execution is disallowed. A message is displayed to indicate that the current
Admin Domain is not active. ad --deactivate prompts for confirmation. The
deactivate operation remains in the transaction buffer until you issue ad --apply
or ad --save.
--delete ad_id Deletes an Admin Domain. This command succeeds if the Admin Domain is in a
deactivated or an activated state. When executed on AD1 through AD254, this
operation fails if the Admin Domain zone database is not empty. AD0 always
exists; using this operation on AD0 does not delete AD0, it just removes all
explicit members of AD0. AD0 zone database need not be empty before the delete
operation. All existing user sessions to a deleted Admin Domain are not
terminated; however, subsequent CLI execution is disallowed. A message is
displayed to indicate that the current Admin Domain is not active. ad --delete
prompts for confirmation before deleting. The delete operation remains in the
transaction buffer until you issue ad --apply or ad --save.
--exec ad_id "command"
Executes the specified command in a particular Admin Domain, which performs
the following tasks:
• Create a new shell.
• ad --select to the specified Admin Domain.
• Execute the commands.
• Exit out of the shell.
--remove ad_id -d "dev_list"-s "switch_list"
Removes one or more members from an Admin Domain. Removing the last
