switchEnable
Enables the switch.
Synopsis switchenable
Description Use this command to enable the switch. All Fibre Channel ports that passed POST are enabled. They can
come online if connected to a device, or will remain offline if disconnected. Use switchEnable if you
disable the switch to make configuration changes or to run diagnostics.
If the switch is connected to a fabric, it rejoins the fabric. If this switch remains the principal switch, then
it assigns itself a domain ID. If another switch assumes the principal role, then this switch becomes a
subordinate switch and accepts a domain ID from the principal. Refer to FC-SW for a complete
description of this process.
As each port is enabled, the front panel LED changes to green for online ports, black for disconnected
ports, or yellow for uninitialized ports.
