Sets the global system name specific to LLDP.
Synopsis system-name name
no system-name
Operands name Specifies a system name for the LLDP. The valid value is a maximum of 32
characters.
Defaults By default, the host name from the switch is used.

Protocol LLDP configuration mode
Description Use this command to set the global system name specific to LLDP.
Usage
Guidelines
The name used in this command must begin with a letter, and can consist of letters, digits,
hyphens, and underscore characters. Spaces are prohibited. Special characters are not supported,
and cause the name to truncate.
Use the no system-name command to remove the system name.
Examples To specify a system name for the LLDP:
switch(conf-lldp)#system-name Brocade
