The updates in this section are for the Fabric OS Administrator’s Guide, publication number
53-1002148-03, published July 2011.
Chapter 2, Performing Basic Configuration Tasks
In the section “Customizing the switch name” on page 30, add the following paragraph after step 3:
In command output and the configuration file, the switch name changes to the new name, but
the switch name in the prompt does not change unless you re-login to the switch.
Chapter 4, Routing Traffic
In the section “Lossless Dynamic Load Sharing on ports” on page 78, replace the last bullet in the
first paragraph with the following:
• Brocade FX8-24 application blades in the Brocade DCX and DCX-4S Backbones.
In the section “Lossless Dynamic Load Sharing in Virtual Fabrics” on page 80, change the last
sentence to the following:
XISL use must be disabled for Lossless DLS to be enabled.
In the section “Forward error correction” on page 81, add the following:
FEC is not supported on ports with DWDM.
