Chapter 19, Monitoring Fabric Performance
In the section “Limitations of Top Talker monitors” on page 408, add the following item:
• If the ingress and egress monitor ports are configured on the same ASIC, F_Port Top Talker
monitors show the flow from only one of the ports, either the ingress or the egress port,
but not both.
Chapter 20, Optimizing Fabric Behavior
In the section “Limitations and restrictions for QoS zone-based traffic prioritization” on page 424,
delete the following item:
• Traffic prioritization is not supported over LSAN zones. The traffic is always medium priority
in the ingress edge fabric, the backbone fabric, and the egress edge fabric.
In Fabric OS 6.3.0 and later, QoS is supported with FC-FC routing.
Chapter 22, Managing Long Distance Fabrics
Under the heading of “Configuring an extended ISL” on page 451, in step 3, change the default
value of R_A_TOV from 1000 to 10000.
Under the heading of “Buffer credits for each switch model” on page 458, change the first
paragraph to the following:
Table 78 shows the total ports in a switch or blade, number of user ports in a port group, and
the unreserved buffer credits available per port group. The number in the Unreserved buffers
column is the number with QoS enabled. This number is higher if QoS is not enabled.
In Table 78, “Buffer credits” on page 458, change the name of the last column to “Unreserved
buffers (per port group) with QoS enabled”.
In Table 79, “Configurable distances for Extended Fabrics” on page 460, change the values for the
Brocade 6510, FC16-32, and FC16-48 to the following:
TABLE 79 Configurable distances for Extended Fabrics
Maximum distances (km) that can be configured assuming 2112 Byte Frame Size
