Fabric OS Documentation Updates 15

Documentation updates for Fabric OS v7.0.1 and later
4
On page 460, change the note after Table 79 from this:
NOTE
QoS requires an additional 20 buffer credits per active port so maximum supported distances
may be lower.
To this:
NOTE
The distances in Table 79 assume QoS is enabled. If QoS is disabled, the maximum supported
distances are higher because QoS requires an additional 20 buffer credits per active port.
Chapter 23, Using the FC-FC Routing Service
In the section “License requirements for Fibre Channel Routing” on page 464, add the following
note:
NOTE
The FR4-18i blade does not require the Integrated Routing license.
Documentation updates for Fabric OS v7.0.1 and later
The updates in this section are for the Fabric OS Administrator’s Guide, publication number
53-1002446-01, published December 2011.
Preface
In the section “What’s new in this document” on page xxxv, add the following item:
• Removed the section “Static route assignment” from Chapter 4, “Routing Traffic,” because
static routes are not supported on any 7.0.x platforms.
Chapter 6, Configuring Protocols
Replace the section “Installing a switch certificate” on page 123 with the following section:
Installing a switch certificate
Use the following procedure to install a security certificate on a switch.
NOTE
You must perform this procedure on each switch.
1. Connect to the switch and log in using an account with admin permissions.
2. Enter the secCertUtil import
command.
3. Select a protocol, enter the IP address of the host on which the switch certificate is saved, and
enter your login name and password.
