Configuring alerts
You can set up Storage Mirroring Reporting Center to monitor Storage Mirroring servers for certain
conditions. When these conditions that are set up to be monitored are met, they are displayed in the Alerts
report.
To create criteria for alerts that are displayed in the
SMRC Reports, Alerts report:
1. Right-click to select the node against which you want to configure the alert conditions. Navigate to
Configuration, Properties. The Server Properties dialog box appears.
2. In the Server Properties dialog box, select the Server Analyses tab.
3. In the Server Alerts region, select the check boxes for the conditions for which you want an alert to be
displayed in the Alerts report. For each condition, select a value from the list of values:
4. In the Storage Mirroring Alerts region, select the check box for the conditions for which you want an
alert to be displayed in the Alerts report. When applicable, select a value from the list of values:

OK.
Configuring views
A view is the hierarchy of nodes and groups that are displayed in the Navigation tree. The View Properties
dialog box displays the name and description of the Storage Mirroring Reporting Center view. This name
and description can be changed.
To change the name and description of the Storage Mirroring Reporting Center view:
1. Select the Storage Mirroring Reporting Center folder. Right-click, and select
Configuration, Properties from
the menu. The View Properties dialog box appears.
2. In the
Name field, enter the name of your view. The default value is Storage Mirroring Reporting Center.
3. In the
Description field, enter the description of your view.
4. Click
OK.
Using Storage Mirroring Reporting Center
Storage Mirroring Reporting Center allows you to run reports and change the appearance of the reports
that you run:

When filesystem is likely to be full in the
next days
Past growth of the filesystem is such that it is predicted to be
full over the specified time period
When CPU is more than % busy Overall CPU utilization is greater than the specified
percentage
When network is more than % busy Network is busier than the specified percentage
When network has errors on more than

Network interface has errors on more than the specified
percentage of packets

deletion by a user or loss of connectivity

Any single mirror operation takes longer than the specified
amount of time
When data is queued but not
transmitted for more than minutes
Data is queued but there has been no data transmitted from
source to target for longer than the specified amount of time
