Obtain the latest Support Software CD ISO image from the Software, Firmware &
Drivers page of the appropriate MSA website.
On the MSA1000 or MSA1500 website:
a. Click Software, Firmware & Drivers.
b. Select your software/driver language.
c. Select your operating system version.
d. Download the ISO image to a temporary directory on a device with a CD-ROM
drive and CD-burning capabilities.
e. Use a CD-burning tool that supports creating a CD from an ISO image to burn
the ISO image to a CD. Do not simply copy the ISO file to a blank CD.
This latest version of the Support Software CD includes necessary HBA drivers,
multi-pathing software components, and an informational readme file.
TIP: In HP download windows, do not click the download button. Instead, click the
title of the download option in the description column. This displays important
information about the update, including introductory information, a summary of
changes, important notes and service considerations, and installation precautions.

Obtain MSA1000 or MSA1500 active/active controller firmware from the Software,
Firmware & Drivers page of the appropriate MSA website.
On the MSA1000 or MSA1500 website:
a. Click Software, Firmware & Drivers.
b. Select your software/driver language.
c. Select your operating system version.
d. Download the files or ISO image to a temporary directory on the server.

For environments currently using Secure Path:
Obtain the LUN Persistence and Migration Utility for Linux from the Software Updates
page of the HP Secure Path website:
http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/sanworks/secure-path/index.html
On the Secure Path website:
a. Click Software updates.
b. Click HP StorageWorks Secure Path Software.
c. Select your current version of Secure Path.
d. Select your operating system version.
e. Select your software/driver language.
f. Click LUN Persistence and Migration Utility for Linux.
g. Click Download and save the LMPutils.tar.gz file to a temporary directory
on the server.
