If the MSA is upgraded to 6.86 or later active/active firmware, and, if you want to remove the
Secure Path for NetWare driver, do the following:
a. Follow the removal instructions provided in the Secure Path user documents.
b. From the console, enter edit c:\NWSERVER\STARTUP.NCF.
c. Comment out the following entry: #load hpqsp.cdm
d. Enter edit sys:\system\autoexec.ncf
e. Comment out the following entries:
Tru64 UNIX environments
• Single-controller configurations and active/passive firmware are not supported; the MSA must
be upgraded to dual-controllers running active/active firmware.
• The AlphaServer must have Tru64 UNIX v5.1.b PK4 (or later) installed.
• The AlphaServer must be configured in a SAN switch zone with the MSA.
• After installing the MSA, be sure to set the host mode for each Tru64 UNIX connection to tru64.

SCO UNIX environments
• Dual-controller active/passive configurations are not supported. Dual-controller configurations
must run active/active firmware.
• Detailed information about deploying an MSA in a SCO UNIX environment is provided in a
separate document available on the Technical documentation page of the MSA1500 website:

. Included in the SCO-specific document are the
procedures for obtaining and installing the HBA drivers for each SCO UNIX operating system.
• After installing the MSA, be sure to set the host mode for each SCO UNIX connection to linux.
