To distribute an SCC or DCC Policy

1. Launch the Switch Admin module as described on page 3-3.

2. Select the Distribute tab

3. Select the appropriate behavior from the Consistency Behavior drop-down menu:

• Absent means that there will be no policy pushed out to other switches

• Tolerant means that the policy will allow legacy switches

• Strict means that only Fabric OS version 5.2.0 switches will be allowed

4. Select Apply

If the policy distribution fails an error dialog box is displayed. For example, if you implement the

Strict Consistency Behavior policy and if some of the fabric switches don’t accept the distribution,

then the enforcement of the policy will fail. The Fabric Wide Consistency Policy is not set for an

individual SCC or DCC policy, they are set to all the SCC or DCC policies on the switch.

Configuring SNMP

This section describes how to manage the configuration of the SNMP agent in the switch. The

configuration includes SNMPv1 and SNMPv3 configuration, accessControl, and systemGroup

configuration parameters.
