Notes The execution of this command is subject to Admin Domain restrictions that may be in place. Refer
to chapter 1, "Understanding Admin Domain Restrictions" and Appendix A, "Command Availability"
for details.
This command is supported only on Brocade FR4-18i blades and Brocade 7500 platforms.
Operands This command has the following operands:
--slot slotnumber Specifies the slot number on which the diagnostic operates. The default is 0
and operates on fixed-port-count products.
-unit number Specifies the FC Router FPGA to test. By default, all FC Router FPGAs in the
specified slotnumber are used. Valid number values include:
0 FC Router FPGA 0
1 FC Router FPGA 1
2 All FC Router FPGAs
-path mode Specifies the loopback point for the test. By default, fcrPathTest uses central
ASIC loopback. Valid mode values include:
1 Central ASIC loopback
2 FC Router FPGA Serdes loopback
3 FC Router FPGA internal loopback
-nframes count Specifies the number of frames to send. The test progresses until the
specified number of frames are transmitted on each port. The default value is
10.
Examples To test slot 2 with FC Router FPGA Serdes loopback sending 10 frames:
switch:admin> fcrpathtest --slot 2 -path 2 -nframes 10

Diagnostics When a failure is detected, the test might report one or more of the following:
- DATA
- ERRSTAT
- INIT
- PORTDIED
- STATS
- TIMEOUT
- XMIT
