Prerequisites
Use of the replication manager requires:
• HP storage array and controller software
• Array management software
• HP P6000 Business Copy license for local replication
• HP P6000 Continuous Access license for remote replication
• Replication manager server and host agent software
• HP P6000 DC-Management license (required for automated capacity provisioning on HP
EVA4x00/6x00/8x00 series storage systems)
NOTE: The HP P6000 DC-Management license is not required for P63x0/65x0 EVA storage
systems.
Upgrading controller and management software
Local and remote replication features vary based on the array controller software version. Determine
the controller software version of each array whose data is to be replicated. Upgrade the controller
software, if necessary, to obtain the latest replication features. For information about the replication
