HP P6000 Replication Solutions Manager Administrator Guide (T3680-96069, June 2012)

On enabled hosts, user authentication is an option when you install the host agent. If user
authentication is enabled, replication manager users must be members of the following host agent
administrator group created on the host:
On Windows hosts, HP Host Agent Admins, or the domain group configured during installation
On other hosts, hphaadm
To add or remove users, follow the instructions in your operating system manual.
Licensing applications
To license application resources for replication:
1. Purchase and install an HP P6000 Business Copy license. If you have not installed this license,
see “Installing licenses” (page 30).
2. If you want to use the optional HP P6000 DC-Management feature, you must purchase an HP
P6000 DC-Management license.
3. Access the HP Password delivery service website and generate a license key.
You can access this website by using the Retrieve button in the replication manager's Manager
application licenses window, or by using the following URL in your browser: https://
webware.hp.com/welcome.asp. (To use the Retrieve button, see the online help.)
On the website, select Generate password(s) and provide the requested information. You will
need the order number from the entitlement certificate and the array worldwide ID (WWID)
for each password.
When prompted, save the resulting password file in a location that is accessible to the
replication manager.
4. Install the password file (also called a license key) in the replication manager GUI.
For instructions on adding a license, see the online help.
