6. Position the rail tray as shown in Figure 2–12 and insert the tray into the rack from
the front.
IMPORTANT: Make sure the slots in the sides of the rail tray slide over the posts on the
rear rail tray brackets, and the posts on the rail tray’s front mounting flanges are inserted
into the center holes of U1.

7. Secure the rail tray:
a. Insert an M5 Torx screw through the top holes in both of the rail tray
mounting flanges. The screws pass through the holes in the rack uprights and
thread into the Tinnerman nuts installed on the rack uprights in step 5.
b. Tighten both M5 Torx screws.
Prepare the Front and Rear Rack Columns
Use the following procedure to prepare the rack for installing a switch:
1. Prepare the front rack columns, as shown in Figure 2–13:
a. Standing at the front of the rack, count up from the top of the rail tray (1) to
the 13th, 19th, and 23rd holes on the rack's front face.
