At the HAFM appliance, close the HAFM application.
1. At the HAFM main window, click SAN > Exit. The HAFM application
closes.
2. Close any other applications that are running.
Continue.

Inspect the available random access memory (RAM). The computer must have a
minimum of 128 megabytes (MB) of memory to run the Windows 2000 operating
system and HAFM application.
1. Right-click anywhere in the Windows 2000 task bar at the bottom of the
desktop. A menu displays.
2. Click Task Manager. The Windows 2000 Task Manager dialog box displays
with the Applications page open. Click Performance to open the
Performance page.
3. At the Physical Memory (K) portion of the dialog box, inspect the total
amount of physical memory.
4. Close the dialog box.
Does the computer have sufficient memory?
YES NO
↓ A memory upgrade is required. Inform the customer of the problem
and contact the next level of support. Exit MAP.

Reboot the HAFM appliance and perform system diagnostics.
1. Click Start > Shut Down. The Shut Down Windows dialog box displays.
2. Click Shut down on the drop-down list and then click OK to power off the
HAFM appliance.
3. Wait approximately 30 seconds and press the power ( ) button on the liquid
crystal display (LCD) panel to power on the server and perform power-on
self-tests (POSTs). During POSTs:
a. The green LCD panel illuminates.
