UPM Card Events (500 through 599)
Event Code: 500
Message: UPM card hot-insertion initiated.
Severity: Informational
Explanation: Installation of a UPM card was initiated with the director powered on and
operational. The event indicates that operational firmware detected the presence of
the UPM card, but the card is not seated. When the card is seated in the director
chassis and identified by firmware, an event code 501 is generated.
Action: If event code 501 follows this event and the amber LED on the UPM card
extinguishes, the replacement card is installed and no additional action is required.
If event code 501 does not follow this event, re-seat the UPM card. If event code 501
still does not display, replace the UPM card.
Event Data: Byte 0 = UPM slot position (00 through 0F).
Bytes 4 through 7 = elapsed millisecond tick count.
