196 Director Element Manager User Guide
To configure FICON management server, use the following steps:
1. Choose Configure > Management Server from the Element Manager menu
bar. The Configure FICON Management Server dialog box displays.
2. Click the Enable FICON check box to enable the management server. (To
disable the management server, click the check box again to remove the check
mark.)
3. Choose the Parameters option to open the Configure FICON Management
Server Parameters dialog box, as shown in Figure 65.

4. Click the Switch Clock Alert Mode check box to enable or disable switch
clock alert mode. When a check mark displays, the alert mode is enabled.
5. Click the Host Control Prohibited check box to allow or prohibit host
control. When a check mark displays, host control is prohibited.
