Addresses
FICON management style only. Click one of the following options:
■ Active Addresses—Displays the Configure-Addresses — “Active” dialog
box. Use this dialog box to configure a name, blocked or unblocked state, and
prohibited and allowed connection attributes for a port.
■ Stored Addresses—Displays the Address Configuration Library. Use this
dialog box to activate, modify, delete, and modify existing address
configurations created through the Active Addresses dialog box.
SNMP Agent
Click this option to display the Configure SNMP dialog box. Use this dialog box
to configure network addresses and community names for up to six SNMP trap
recipients. Also authorize write permissions to enable SNMP management
stations to modify writable MIB variables. In addition, you can enable
authorization traps to be sent to management stations when unauthorized stations
request access to director SNMP data.
Open Systems Management Server
This option only displays if the Open Systems Management Server inband
management feature was enabled through the Configure Feature Key dialog box.
(See “Configuring Feature Key” on page 149 for more information.) You can
choose the following check boxes from this option:
■ Enable Open Systems Management Server—Click this check box to
display a check mark enable the Open Systems Management Server.
■ Host Control Prohibited—Click this check box to display a check mark and
prohibit the host management program from changing configuration and
connectivity parameters on the director. In this case, the host program has
read-only access to configuration and connectivity parameters.
