Installation instructions
For information about installing DCFM 10.3.4, see the DCFM Migration and Transition Guide or the
Data Center Fabric Manager Enterprise, Professional Plus, or Professional User Manuals. These
documents can be downloaded from the following HP website:

Under Support, click HP Support & Documents. Under Resources for HP StorageWorks B-series Data
Center Fabric Manager Software, click Manuals, and then select the appropriate edition.
NOTE:
Install the DCFM application on a dedicated machine that is not running any other server applications,
such as another database server.
Installation instructions are provided for the following operating systems:
• Microsoft Windows
• Sun Solaris
• Linux
The DCFM server runs as multiple services on Windows, and as multiple processes on Solaris and
Linux; they start automatically after installation.
Migrating from an earlier version
You can migrate directly to DCFM 10.3.4 Enterprise from DCFM 10.3.x, 10.0.2, or 10.1.x Enterprise,
or from EFCM 9.6.x/9.7.x, or Fabric Manager 5.4/5.5. For more data migration and installation

Installation procedures
To install DCFM Enterprise, Professional Plus, or Professional on a Windows server:
1. Download and extract the zip file from the following HP website:
http://h18006.www1.hp.com/products/storageworks/dc_fabricmgr/index.html
Under Support, click HP Support & Documents, and then click Download drivers and software.
Under Select your product, select HP StorageWorks B-series Data Center Fabric Manager Enterprise
Software. Under Select operating system, click Cross operating system (BIOS, Firmware,
Diagnostics, etc), and then select your product.
2. Navigate to the Windows folder.
3. Execute install.exe.
4. Follow the wizard instructions to complete the installation.
