2. Using a pallet jack, raise the pallet on which the Director 2/64 is mounted to the
same height as the top surface of the lift device.
3. Slide the Director 2/64 across from the pallet to the lift device.
4. Determine the appropriate rack-mount position. Remember that the Director 2/64
is 15.75 inches or 9 U high.
Installing the Shelf Brackets in the M-Series Rack
Use these steps to install the two shelf brackets in the rack.
1. Determine the appropriate placement for the switch inside the rack. It is important
to consider the number of switches you intend to install. See “Tips for Installing
More than One Switch,” listed previously in this document.
2. Count the round openings in the rail to identify the required position for the
switch. Count three round openings for every rail unit, or U, along the rail.
3. Locate the round hole that corresponds with the required U position, as shown in
Figure 2.
