Formatting is required for new backup CD-RW disks
If you use a different CD-RW disk to backup other than the one provided with the H AFM
appliance, you must access the desktop of the HAFM appliance in order to enable the
formatting of the new disk. Backups cannot be per formed until the new disk is formatted.
Upgrading from previous HAFM versions requires a special process
If you have an HAFM notebook server or an H AFM appliance and you are upgrading to
HAFM 08.06.00, you must follow the directions as detailed in the HP StorageWorks
HA-Fabric Manager Transition Guide, to successfully transfer your SAN conguration
information to HAFM 08.06.00.
