Configure Optional Features
The HAFM offers four optional features that you can configure through HAFM
applications. There are two types of features:
• “Keyed” features, requiring feature keys to be purchased and enabled through the
Configure Feature Key dialog box in the product’s Product Manager application.
• Features not requiring feature keys themselves, but requiring that specific keyed
features be enabled before they can be accessed through HAFM or Product
Manager applications.
The optional features are as follows:
• FICON Management Server—keyed feature
• Open System Management Server (OSMS)—keyed feature
• SANtegrity—keyed feature
— Fabric Binding
— Switch Binding
• Enterprise Fabric Mode—non-keyed feature
These features are discussed in detail in Chapter 6, Optional Features.
The next section, Configure Feature Key, tells you how to setup, configure, and
activate the feature key.
