Hot Insertion of Optical Transceiver may Produce Port Failure
Events
There should be no impact to the switching and throughput capabilities of the switch
and the error event can be cleared.
Ports may Accumulate Spurious Events
A port may accumulate “Invalid transmission word” and “Bit-Error Threshold Link
Incident” events when a transceiver is poorly seated resulting in a poor ground
connection.
Workaround
Reseating the optical transceiver will correct the problem.
