5. Enter edge switch 2-32 in the Name field and click OK. The Connect To dialog box is displayed

(Figure 9).

6. Ensure that the Connect using field displays COM1 or COM2 (depending on the serial

communication port connection to the switch), and click OK. The Port Settings dialog box is

displayed (Figure 10).

7. Enter the Port Settings parameters as follows:

•Bits per second—115200

• Data bits—8

•Parity—None

• Stop bits—1

• Flow control—Hardware

When the parameters are set, click OK. The HyperTerminal window is displayed.
