6. Secure, but do not completely tighten, all screws.

Mounting the slide rails on the sides of the Edge Switch

Tools and equipment required:

• Ten (10) #6 x 3/8 inch flathead screws.

• Fixed-length slide rails.

• Torx tool.

• The appropriate size ear brackets for the rack. (The longer ear brackets are used for the HP

9000 and 11000 series racks. All other racks use the shorter ear brackets.)

NOTE: You may want to remove the Edge Switch power supplies, as this will make the device

lighter and easier to handle.

service manual for details on removing power supplies.
