5 Using the HAFM Basic interface
If an HAFM appliance is not available or is not used to manage the Edge Switch, you can use the
HAFM Basic interface to configure the Edge Switch 2/32 . Selectively perform the following

Launching the HAFM Basic interface
Use the following steps to launch the HAFM Basic interface:
NOTE: Internet access and a standard web browser is required. HP recommends Netscape
Navigator 4.6 or higher or Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher.
1. Ensure that the browser-capable PC and the Ethernet LAN segment (with the Edge Switch
attached) are connected.
2. At the PC, launch the browser (Netscape Navigator
or Internet Explorer).
