Launch EWS

Use the following steps to launch EWS.

Note: Internet access and a standard Web browser is required. HP recommends

Netscape Navigator 4.6 or higher, or Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher.

1. Ensure that the browser-capable PC and the Ethernet LAN segment (with the

switch attached) are connected.

2. At the PC, launch the browser application (Netscape Navigator

or Internet

Explorer).

3. At the browser, enter the IP address of the switch as the internet uniform

resource locator (URL). Use the default IP address of 10.1.1.10, the factory

preset of 10.1.1.10, or the IP address configured while performing “Configure

Switch Network Information” on page 48. The Username and Password

Required dialog box displays (Figure 40).

4. Enter the default user name and password.

Note: The default user name is Administrator and the default password is

password. The user name and password are case-sensitive.

5. Click OK. The Embedded Web Server interface opens with the View window

displayed (Figure 41).
