Ensure that the HSG80 controllers have been set correctly for arbitrated loop or fabric.

Compare the settings displayed by the CLI with those in Table 1–2 for arbitrated loop and

Table 1–3 for fabric. The current settings can be obtained with the command:

HSG80> SHOW THIS_CONTROLLER

Arbitrated Loop Setup

If the HSG80 controller parameter settings displayed do not match those in the

recommended setting column in Table 1–2, the following CLI commands can be used to

alter their values.

NOTE: HSG80> is included in the CLI commands to show the prompt that will appear and is not

to be typed as part of the command line.

Setting the ALPA:

HSG80 > SET THIS_CONTROLLER PORT_1_AL_PA=71

HSG80 > SET THIS_CONTROLLER PORT_2_AL_PA=72

Setting the Port Topology:

HSG80 > SET OTHER_CONTROLLER PORT_1_TOPOLOGY=LOOP_HARD

HSG80 > SET OTHER_CONTROLLER PORT_2_TOPOLOGY=LOOP_HARD

Setting the SCSI Version:

HSG80 > SET THIS_CONTROLLER SCSI_VERSION=SCSI-2
