The following enhancements are included in this release:
• Changes were implemented for potential FC-AL ESI interface errors
• Functiona
l capability during SEEK commands while saving SMART frames has been increased.
• In the rare instance that the drive is in an a ssert condition, a recovery sequence has been
implemented ensure that the drive provides a check condition and then returns to normal function.
• An offline
drive dump is now available even when the format is corrupted for Failure Analysis.
• Performance enhancements have been made to address drive hang conditions.
• Enhancements have been made to drive code error recovery techniques.
Prerequisites
To upgrade multiple disk drives online without the data m igration process, you must be running:
• VCS 3.100 or later on EVA3000/5000
• XCS 6.000 or later on EVA4000/6000/8000
• HP Command View EVA 6.0.2 or later
