maint.port.reset
Syntax reset portNumber
Purpose This command resets a port.
This command resets an individual port without affecting any other
ports. However, if a device is attached to the port and the device is
online, the reset causes a link reset to occur. If the port is in a failed
state (that is, after failing a loopback test), the reset restores the port to
an operational state. The reset also clears all statistics counters and
disables port beaconing for the specified port.
Parameters This command has one parameter.
Command Example
Root> maint port reset 4
maint.system.beacon
Syntax beacon beaconState
Purpose This command enables or disables unit beaconing.
Parameters This command has one parameter.
Command Examples
Root> maint system beacon false
Root> maint system beacon 0
portNumber Specifies the port number to be reset. Valid
values are:
0–11 for the Sphereon 4300
0–15 for the Sphereon 3016 and 3216
0–23 for the Sphereon 4500
0–31 for the Sphereon 3032 and 3232
0–63 for the Intrepid 6064
0–127 and 132–143 for the Intrepid 6140
beaconState Specifies whether unit beaconing is enabled.
Valid values are true and false. Boolean 1 and 0
may be substituted as values.
