The NT Agent Configuration Step 3 of 3 window appears.
5. Select the subsystem that you want to delete in the Storage Subsystems field.
Click
Delete Subsystem.
6. Click
Finish. A message, warning you to restart your Agent, appears.
7. Click
OK. You exit the NT Agent Configuration Utility.
8. You must stop and restart the Agent for your changes to take effect. For
instructions, see “Stopping and Starting the Agent” on page 153.
Stopping and Starting the Agent
The Agent runs as a service in the background. When you stop the Agent, you are
telling the software to stop monitoring the tape controllers that were added to the
Tape Controller Management page.
From Windows NT
1. Double click Services in Control Panel.
2. Click
Steam.
3. Click
Stop or Start, then click Close.
4. Refresh the open Storage Windows for the HSG and HSZ controllers.
From Windows 2000 and Windows Server 2003 (32-bit)
1. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Component
Services.
2. Under Console Root, select
Services (Local).
3. Under Services (Local), right-click
Steam.
4. Click
Stop or Start.
5. Refresh the open Storage Windows for the HSG and HSZ controllers.
Disabling and Enabling the Agent Startup at System Boot
The default is for the Agent to start at system boot; however, you may want to
change this option. For example, if you need to check your system, you may not
want the Agent to start at system boot.
