Description
This firmware includes fixes to three issues and should be installed only if your environment has
experienced one of these issues. This release has undergone a full cycle of regression testing, but,
due to non-replication of the issues, only one issue and fix has been verified at HP test labs.

Issues and Fixes
Issue: Fixed an issue of “overlapping volumes” when extending LUNs with the extend CLI command.
Test Status: Verified on Windows and Linux. Not verified on Tru64.
Issue: Resolved an issue of the MSA persistent reservation table becoming full when used with various supported
levels of VMware.
Test Status: Not Verified. Issue could not be reproduced in HP tests. Firmware versions 7.20 and 5.40 passed
regression tests running in a VMware 3.5 environment.
Issue: Incorporated additional checks and indications to ensure that the disk drive Fault LED will be lit during
a case of predictive failure. This is in addition to failure indications reported by host agents.
Test Status: Not Verified. Issue could not be reproduced in HP tests.
