Perform the following procedures, as needed, to update system components:
• Updating the operating system
• Updating switch firmware
• Updating HBA firmware
• Updating SCSI ha rd drive firmware
• Updating multipathing software
• Updating HBA drivers, MPIO components, and the ACU
• Updating MSA controller firmware
Updating the operating system
Obtain the ne ede d files and installation instructions from the operating system vendor website or the

CAUTION:
Operating system updates require one or more system restarts and should be performed during
scheduled m
aintenance time.
