Description
This release includes updated tape drive firmware for Ultrium 1760 half-height parallel SCSI and SAS
HP StorageWorks 1/8 G2 Tape Autoloaders, and MSL2024, MSL4048, and MSL8096 Tape Libraries.
The tape drive firmware can be updated through any of the following methods:
Remote management interface (RMI).
Operator control panel (OCP).
HP Library and Tape Tools (L&TT).
Tape drive firmware versions
W51W parallel SCSI
U51W SAS
Update recommendation Recommended
Supersedes All earlier versions of tape drive firmware.

New functionality
This code introduces a power on event log. The event log will now extract and interpret the reason
for the power on event (i.e. firmware upgrade, assert reset, power on etc.)
Encryption
When external encryption control is in place and the encryption parameter request policy is set
to "request data encryption parameters when not set", the drive must request a key when a Write
command is received after a read operation. In previous code versions, this was not the case, but
it is now corrected.
Every time a dataset is read, if the dataset is encrypted and the First Encrypted Block indicates
there are no encrypted records on tape, then First Encrypted Block will be changed to reflect the
reality.
The SSC-3 standard states that if a volume is mounted in the drive, then it is not possible to modify
the external encryption control settings. This has been identified as an issue with certain customers,
