NOTE: The order of installation is not relevant as long as both Command View EVA and Command
View TL are upgraded.
Starting and stopping the Command View TL Provider
You can manually start and stop the Command View TL Provider by starting or stopping the cimserver
service from the Services applet.
However, stopping the cimserver service causes all of the Pegasus CIMOM providers that are
installed to be stopped. It is not possible to stop a single provider without disturbing all of the other
installed providers. Restarting the cimserver service causes all SMI-S providers to be reinitialized.
To start or stop the cimserver service:

installed to be stopped
1. Select StartSettingsControl PanelAdministrative ToolsServices.
2. Locate and select the cimserver service (the display name is Pegasus CIM Object Manager).
3. Click Start or Stop.
Configuring Command View TL Provider
The configuration files for setting up the Command View TL Provider service are located in the following
directories where SMI-S is installed:
<Command View TL Install dir>\op-cimom
<Command View TL Install dir>\op-cimom\TapeProvider
Modify the configuration files as indicated in Table 1 (page 7).
Use a text editor to manually edit the configuration files. After editing the configuration parameters,
restart the Command View TL Provider.

can open to connect to CV TL Database. The default value
is 50.
MaximumConnections
The minimum number of connections the provider can keep
open while installed and running. The default value is 30.
MinimumConnections
The name of the CVTL DB, which is set to cvtl_libdb. Do
not change.
DBName
Name of DB user. The default name is created by CVTL.User
