Enhancements
Enhancements implemented between 3.70 and 4.20:
• Support added for Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6).
• Support added for pa r titioning a two-drive Library into two logical libraries.
• Support added for the 1/8 G2 a nd MSL Encryption Kit, which is a solution for generating and
storing encryption keys to write and restore encrypted data on LTO-4 media with LTO-4 tape drives.
• Support added for the Ultrium 1760 parallel SCSI half-height tape drive.
• Support added for SNMP version 2.
• Added the ability to save and restore the Library configuration settings to a USB flash drive (from
the OCP) or a file (from the RMI).

Fixes
• In non-partitioned Libraries, the o peration of mailslots (Import/Export Elements) has been modified
to opera
te in the same manner as e arlier firmware releases.
NOTE:
Version 4.00 changed these basic operations in a way that caused some applications to fail when
accessing a cartridge in a mailslot.
• In par titioned Libraries, the operation of the mailslots (Import/Export Elements) h as been modified
to accurately reflect when the mailslot is FULL, and to allow a logical library to access a c artrid ge
in a mailslot that was put there by that logical library. The SCSI ACCESS bit now accurately
refle cts this permission.
