Description
This release includes updated firmware for the HP StorageWorks MSL8048 and MSL8096 Tape
Libraries.
The Library firmware can be updated through any of the following methods:
• Remote management interface (RMI).
• Operator control panel (OCP).
• HP Library and Tape Tools (L&TT).

Update recommendation Recommended
Supersedes All earlier versions of Library firmware.

Enhancements in versions 9.50 and 9.60
Added licensing feature
The licensing feature added to the RMI Configuration page allows the upgrade of the new HP MSL8048
product (48 storage slot version of MSL8096 product) to add 48 additional storage locations. This
feature allows the upgrade from MSL8048 to MSL8096.
NOTE:
This applies only to the MSL8048
Added setting to remote management interface (RMI)
A configuration setting on the RMI has been provided to select displaying the RMI content in either
English or Japanese languages.
