Version: 1090 Description This release includes updated firmware for the HP StoreEver MSL8048 and MSL8096 Tape Libraries. The firmware can be updated through any of the following methods: • Remote management interface (RMI). • Operator control panel (OCP) using a USB flash drive. • HP Library and Tape Tools (L&TT). Library firmware version 1090 Compatible robotics firmware version 3.20e Update recommendation Recommended IMPORTANT: Firmware version 1080 has been recalled and is no longer available.

To upgrade firmware using L&TT: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Download and install the current version of HP Library & Tape Tools (L&TT) from the HP website: www.hp.com/support/tapetools. Download current firmware using L&TT. Click the device to update in the device list. Click Firmware on the main toolbar. On the Update Firmware tab, select the box next to each device for which you want to update firmware.
